The need to provide high accuracy and efficient feeding, weighing and material handling equipment for food processes is quickly growing. Due to today's global economy, food manufacturers throughout the world are looking for ways to cut costs, improve overall process efficiencies, and automate their food processes. This presentation will evaluate a wide variety of equipment available for feeding/material handling of food ingredients and discuss the specific process advantages of each. How to best choose the proper type of equipment for a number of food processes, including continuous extrusion, granulation, mixing and coating will be discussed. The presentation will also explore new technology design options for operation enhancement, and is well suited for engineers, operators and plant managers who are looking to improve overall product quality, increase yields, and ensure minimal ingredient costs by choosing the most accurate material handling designs available.
PRESENTER: Sharon Nowak, Global Business Development Manager for the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries, K-Tron Process Group.
